The largest shipbuilding advocacy organization in the country and the incoming Trump administration have differing opinions on what it would take to build a 350-ship Navy, including whether facilities need to be expanded to support the effort. Matthew Paxton, Shipbuilders Council of America President, told Inside the Navy Nov. 17 it is not a question of whether or not there is a need for additional shipyards or new facilities, the challenge is industry needs long lead time and stable funding...
